Riverside West Dental has been part of Owen Sound since the 1970s. Under new ownership since December 2024, we're keeping everything patients loved and modernizing the rest.

Our story

New chapter,
same address.

For over fifty years, the dental chair at 940 First Avenue West has been a place where Owen Sound families come to be cared for. Through generations of dentists and decades of change, one thing has stayed constant: the commitment to your smile.

In December 2024, we welcomed new ownership, bringing fresh energy, updated technology, and a renewed commitment to affordable, transparent dental care. We still accept ODSP, Ontario Works, and Healthy Smiles. We now help patients sign up for the Canadian Dental Care Plan. And we still believe everyone deserves a dentist who treats them like family.

Today the practice is led by Dr. Sukhpreet Mander alongside Dr. Parminder Singh, with a registered hygienist, a dental assistant, and a front desk team who know most patients by name. We run the only onsite denture lab in Owen Sound, reserve time every day for emergencies, and keep Tuesday evenings open for people who can't get away during the workday.

The building is the same. The heart is the same. The future? Brand new.

What changed when the practice came under new ownership?

The practice came under new ownership in December 2024. The address, phone number, and many familiar faces stayed the same. What's new is updated equipment, a renewed focus on clear pricing, help signing up for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, and more services under one roof.

Do you still accept ODSP, Ontario Works, and Healthy Smiles Ontario?

Yes. We have always welcomed patients on these programs and we still do. We also bill most private insurers directly.

Which languages does the team speak?

English, Punjabi, and Hindi. Let us know when you book if you'd prefer to talk through your care in another language and we'll do our best to arrange it.

What technology do you use?

Digital X-rays with a fraction of the radiation of film, an intraoral camera so you can see what we see, and an onsite denture lab for same-day repairs. We invest in tools that make care more precise and comfortable, not gimmicks.

Is the practice accessible?

Please call ahead and let us know about any mobility needs. We'll make sure your visit is as easy as possible, and we'll tell you honestly what we can and can't accommodate in our heritage building.
