Cosmetic dentistry doesn't have to mean a whole new smile. Often it's one chipped edge, one dark tooth or one gap that's been bothering you for years.
What we can do, and how we decide
Most people who ask about cosmetic dentistry have something specific in mind: a chipped front tooth, an old grey filling that shows when they laugh, a gap, or teeth that are worn and uneven. The right treatment depends on the problem, and it's usually simpler than people expect.
Bonding uses tooth-coloured resin sculpted directly onto the tooth to repair a chip, close a small gap or cover a stain, often in a single visit. Tooth-coloured fillings replace silver ones so that back teeth look like teeth. Porcelain veneers are thin shells bonded to the front of teeth to change shape, colour and alignment together; they're the most transformative option and one Dr. Parminder Singh has a special interest in.
A smile makeover simply means combining these, sometimes with whitening or crowns, into one plan. We put it together with you, in the order and at the pace that suits your budget. Nothing has to happen all at once.

For veneers, a mock-up on your teeth lets you see the shape before anything is permanent.

Bonding is usually one visit; veneers take two or three. We finish each stage properly before starting the next.

Costs and what insurance covers
Tooth-coloured fillings are generally covered by insurance and the Canadian Dental Care Plan the same way any filling is. Bonding and veneers for purely cosmetic reasons usually aren't, though repairs to chipped or broken teeth sometimes are. We'll give you a written estimate for each part of the plan so you can decide what to do first.
Cosmetic work lasts longer with normal care: brushing, flossing, hygiene visits, and a night guard if you grind, since grinding is the main thing that chips veneers and bonding.

Do veneers ruin your teeth?
Veneers require a thin layer of enamel to be removed, so they aren't reversible, but done well on healthy teeth they're a long-lasting, conservative option. We'll tell you if bonding would achieve what you want with no enamel removal at all.
How long does bonding last?
Typically five to ten years. It can chip or stain over time, but it's easy to polish or repair.
Can I do this a little at a time?
Yes. Many patients start with whitening or a single bonded tooth and go from there. There's no pressure to do a full makeover.
Do you offer braces or Invisalign?
No. We don't provide orthodontics. If straightening is what you need, we'll refer you, and we can still handle any cosmetic work afterwards.
Will it look fake?
Not if it's done thoughtfully. We match colour, shape and translucency to your other teeth and your face, and we show you before we finalize anything.
